Like I said before, this is ANOTHER soon to be classic battle! Even though, people may weigh in about having 'home court' advantage... It looked like it didn't even matter. It was a landslide win. Versatility, experience and skills prevailed to take this opponent apart. Enough said, check it out after the jump!...

Tone Scott "Whole Click Balling"
If it comes out of Detroit, then there's probably a little DNA in it from producer extraordinaire, AK! That's right people, AK is back with his alter ego TONE SCOTT (wearing those two hats as famed rapper/producer Kanye West does) with the smash single,"WHOLE Click Ballin"! He has assembled an all star lineup of straight spitters! The producing prodigy himself, being first up to put flames on this joint {as it should be} is followed up by Payroll of DBC, Stretch Money of HLR and, last but never least, T-dot (Rock Bottom) of NFL! Now you're probably thinking, this is crazy! But do you think the music conductor would stop there? Of course not! It's only fitting that AK would lift the voice of the late, legendary, Blade Icewood to blaze the chorus and, a known fact is that AK has produced many hits for Blade (who still leads today in Detroit rap product sales, a testament to longevity). Once again AK, (oops!!! I meant TONE SCOTT) the mastermind, has summoned his knack for bridging his street credibility, with his musical sensibility, making this single "Whole Click Ballin" what the rap game will be calling for!Click HERE

Mae Day "105"
Detroit, MI - Detroit's own female Hip-Hop MC, Mae Day, released her newest song, “105” on her website: maedaymaeday.com, this week, as a bonus track for her fans. “105” is 105 bars of a mixtape-type joint, blending three different beats into a segmented, yet smooth, flow. “105” is the newest installment in Mae Day’s 100+ bars series. In 2009, she hit us with “101,” which was followed by “103” in 2011. The beats behind Mae Day’s lyrics in “105” include T.I.’s “I’m Flexin,” Red CafĂ©’s “Fly Together” and 50 Cent’s “Hustler’s Ambition.” Mae Day recently reflected on the creation of “105,” and said: “I've spent a lot of time debating if I’m digging too deep when I'm writing...because this is my thought...‘if it goes over listener’s heads, am I doing the music justice?’ Well, after a few outside opinions, I decided not to worry myself with that thought…at least not for this track. As I stated in the beginning of this song, 'this one's for me'……BUT…… it’s for you also. THAT being said….105.”
Currently, Mae Day is in the studio, finalizing her first full-length project, Love & War: All Ain’t Fair.
Born in Detroit, MI, with an upbringing that spans both north and south of the infamous 8 Mile Road, Mae Day is persistent at representing her hometown and fellow artists by bringing a real, hard-core, yet soulful sound. Her music is reflective, and her original, clever lyrics take you to places that you've most likely been, at some point or another.
Music truly is her art, and she takes it seriously, studying other artists from all genres, including Common, Jay-Z, Sade, Stevie Wonder, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and beyond.
Mae Day has gone from performing in local talent shows to opening at Detroit’s Hart Plaza, The Fillmore and the legendary St. Andrews Hall. She’s also rocked crowds at innumerable clubs, venues, colleges and universities in and out-of-state, such as The Palms Hotel of Las Vegas, Club Element of NYC, various venues at the SXSW Music Conference.
“I want to let the world know about Mae Day. She’s coming, I’m proud to know it and proud to say it…..look for her!” - MC Lyte
“Add Mae Day to the list of Detroit-area artists to watch. The indie rapper, who's been working the underground for a few years now, was listed on a BET blog as one of 'Three Female MCs You Need To Know.'“ - mlive.com
“When you first hear the name Mae Day, you might think about the distress signal. Detroit-based rapper Mae Day answered her calling with her talented rhymes that have helped shape the Detroit hip hop and R&B scene since 2004.” - Spinner.com
“It is not often enough that I get to blog about a female emcee in hip hop. Mae Day is hard ... and strong. Love the lyrics. She's got the flow and the swagger too.” - indyhiphopworld.com

Rich Forever (Mixtape Review)

What up! Happy new year to everybody. In a day or two, you'll probably be abandoning any and all resolutions. It's sad...but here's a new project review to brighten up your depressing day. For my first post of the year I'm gonna take a look at Rick Ross' Rich Forever. Going in I should mention I'm generally not a Rozay fan. It's pretty difficult to relate to him. I don't got a Bugatti, and I'm not pushing triple beams, nor do I believe he is (or ever was for that matter). The tape is peppered with tracks about making money. "Holy Ghost" and "New Bugatti" both featuring Diddy, "High Definition", and "Keys To The Crib" featuring Styles P are all average at best. Listen to them when you don't plan on paying attention closely. The production on all the aforementioned is your standard trap heavy boring backdrop. These are the acceptable "money making" tracks. "Yella Diamonds", "I Swear To God", "Off The Boat" featuring French "who the fuck wanted to sign this guy?" Montana, and "Last Breath" featuring Meek Mill and Birdman vary between lame and downright annoying.
Now there ARE high points. From tracks 5-9 and again from 17-19 Ross and Co. are on point. "Fuck 'Em" featuring 2 Chainz and Wale, and "MMG Untouchable" aren't groundbreaking, but the production is captivating and the verses are strong. Probably the best of those coming from 2 Chainz's original punchline heavy flow. "Mine Games" featuring a rare hook from Kelly Clarkson and "Party Heart" featuring another 2 Chainz verse and new Maybach Music Group signee Stalley are good tracks for the ladies.
The Highlight: The last track on the tape "Stay Schemin." Featuring a show stopping verse from drake and some high points from both Ross and French Montana. Drake displays his world class ability and some subliminal shots aimed at new foe Common. Nas' verse on "Triple Beam Dreams is chilling and shows that he hasn't lost it yet. Definitely superior to anything Jay-Z is doing lately.
The Low Point: Back to Back horrible money anthems in "I Swear To God" and "Off The Boat." They made me wish I could magically conjure Rick Ross in front of me and force feed him Whoppers till his cholesterol level causes his head to explode.
When to listen to Rich Forever: when hosting a party and wanting to show how tuned in to the mainstream hip hop scene you are. When you feel like grunting a lot and not having many "DAMN!" moments caused by the lyrics.
Consensus: In a word, Rich Forever is alright. This is background music for a house party.
Hope you felt the review, and either agree completely with me or are so furious at my opinion you're gonna keep coming back to our site to get pissed off at my words.
Peace! FlyQ the Anchor
